You have got to be kiddding me!

I am a very strong person. I can handle a lot of stress. In the past 10 years.....

I had a rollover care accident with my then 22 month old son, I had surgery, hospital stay, whirlpool therapy on my arm that was split to the bone. This was followed over the next 5 years with multiple pain procedures such as epidurals and nerve blocks, shoulder surgery, foot surgery, hand surgery. I have had glass coming out of my left arm for 10 years and have pain daily from the nerve damage as well as the 2 herniated disc in my back.

I went back to school to get my BSN while working full time. I went on to finish my MSN/ED while working full time and complete ting my dossier for International Adoption. During that time 2 co-workers went out with cancer, one died, an instructor from another department killed himself and children. I took nursing students to the hospital (that is enough to take 10 years off your life).

I left that job, worked home health going into very interesting places, found out my lawyer from the above car accident took our money, and prepared for a trip to china.

I faced a of my fears at once in China: long air travel, germs, no seat belts, strange foods, and brought back our very busy B. I thought I was getting shingles then, but they never "blossomed".

I handled the unknowns with her medical condition: seizures, test, surgery.

Yet 16 weeks teaching middleschoolers and I have shingles. I diagnossed them Christmas Eve and went to the doctor for meds, they (the NP) told me no way they are not shingles take some Motrin and use ice on my torn cartilage in the ribs.

The pain got worse, the itching got worse. I went back to the doctor's office (12/30). I have shingles and I am started on meds, a little late for it to be effective, but I did get pain meds this time.

My diagnoses are usually right, whether you have appendicitis, a sinus infection, the flu, your septic (my husband during the year of many hurricanes) so when I am not listened to it is very frustrating. I am very grumpy.

Austin has decided that he does not want to be the subject of my blogs as he can speak for himself. I have given him a voice of his own blog. I will warn you, it is the creation of an unusual 12 year old boy. I had to promise not to alter his post in anyway so these are his words and pictures he took.

Picture Disaster

Okay, it has been a few weeks since our family pictures were done. The picture we picked as our family picture was "messed up" by the photographer and the resolution changed so it can not be printed. I wanted to at least be able to post it but it is not on our photo CD. The CD we got was someone else's. she picked another photo to print our Christmas cards on, which was horrible, and showed way too much chest, and gave us the wrong photo CD. Now so much later we finally got the CD with our pictures. I will post them and let all of you decide which one should be our family photo. I will post Christmas on the Boy and the B.

24/7

This is part of the family photo expereince. It has become a never ending saga of mess ups, lost pictures, wrong disc. I do think she captures the true relationship between Austin and Izzy. This is my life 24/7.

The Dancing Queen B

The B can no longer just walk to where she wants to go, every step is part of a dance move. She is obsessed with watching it all take place in the stove or dishwasher door. I am going to have to find a mirror to hang for her or is that just feeding into it? She is getting to tall to see herself without scrunching down. I don't want her to be hunchbacked.

Looney Tunes Music

Have you ever been in a situation where you could hear the Looney Tunes music playing? That so describes today's family photo session. We found a photographer with reasonable prices in town. She is brand new to the business and just opened her studio in the cute "historic" downtown Clermont. Poor girl, I don't think she realized when we came through the door what was in store for her.

Izzy did not want to cooperate, we were all getting cranky, the boys were making goofy faces, the backdrop got pulled down more than once by too many of us moving at once. All I have to say is the blooper real will be the best part. I have to download the looney tunes music to play with it.

We should get our pictures Monday and the cartoon picture will be replaced after a year of being on the blog.
