Austin the fashion designer

Austin designed this lovely outfit for Isabella. A striking tye dye outfit that apparently makes her want to dance even more than usual. She spent a lot of time in front of the mirror looking at herself from all angles. Then she put the monkey on her back and once again viewed herself from all angles. Apparently she stayed in front of the mirror at school as well. I believe Austin was successful in his endeavor to please his fashionista sister.

Not a Baby Anymore

Doesn't she look so grownup? It is hard to believe we have been home for 18 months. "Me" is her favorite word, which means she wants to do it all by herself. Every night she goes to bed with a book to read. I remember when she didn't know what a book was and kept ripping out all of the pages. Most days she spends dancing. If music is not playing she will go to the radio and say please!

Happy Mother's Day...Early

Well this year I took mother's day presents into my own hands. Don't get me wrong, Buck tries. He just gets led astray by those helpful sales people. One year it resulted in a cocktail style yellow gold ring, with matching necklace and earrings. Anyone who knows me gets that silver, platinum, or white gold is much more my style and as simple as possible.

I have been a fan of Suzanne Myers jewelry for some time. I first noticed her work when a web acquaintance held a fundraiser to bring her child home from China. The name charm necklace was different. It is simple, unique, and affordable!

As I saw her necklaces online, in person (a friend was given one), I started to pine away for one. I entered every adoption drawing I saw in hopes of winning this prize. I was happy to donate to these wonderful causes but really wanted to have one of my own. I have attached some pictures that definitely does not show the beautiful details. I also placed a button on my blogs so that you can see the necklace up close and see all of the options available.

I very much admire this artist for her willingness to help out so many adoptive families bring their children home. Check out her site.

Dance, Dance, Dance!

With a title like that I know you will assume this is another dancing IzzyB post. Well it isn't, instead this is about the Megster and Teresa. They are in sunny Florida at the World Dance Championships (at EPCOT). Meggie competed today in two dances: Jazz and Hip Hop. She was fabulous! Her team made it into the finals for their Jazz routine. I thought the Hip Hop routine was just as wonderful, but the competition was tough. Meggie will dance again tomorrow in the finals. I have to say I was very impressed with some of these groups. A lot of talent all in one place. Of course I am partial to Meggie and the fact that she is the most beautiful and talented of everyone there!I have not seen this side of her and I was very impressed.

This all provided me with wonderful quality time with Teresa. The highlight was trying to find the hotel they were staying at after a run to Walgreen's for the essential: pop tarts, donuts, salty snacks. All of the other hotel signs are very clear but the All Star Resort just seems to be an issue. I think I had this same issue when we stayed there. Round and round we went. I am sure Teresa thought I was crazy, or stupid, but she was very patient with me and my poor night time eye sight. I doubt she will get into a car with me again.

I Accepted a Job

Well I accepted a job teaching for a private college in Orlando. I will be the nursing skils lab instructor. This is good. 3-4 days a week. A long commute, but I am sure less stressful than teaching middleschool. More money and I won't have to worry about losing my job every year.

My biggest concern is the drive and being so far from the kids. I have been at school with Austin this year and it is nice to have him close.
