How many of you guys have ever given a 2 year old pills? Can you believe that the Synthroid needed to treat Izzy's hypothyroidism only comes in pill form? Yes I was told to crush it and put it in water to drink....well that is not happening so I had to put it in a very small amount of applesauce, yeah we will see how it goes in the morning because she didn't want applesauce the rest of the day after that.

Also she will need Growth hormone we just don't know when. They think her messed up GH can be affecting the seizures. The good news is that all of this should definitely qualify her for the special ed pre-k and then she can get the therapy she needs and catch up. Early steps is making a home visit today.

Tyra: The top pictures is definitely her best, she looks like she is having fun. I think she is different, how many redneck Chinese toddlers do we see, it is a different look.......

Ms. J: This girl doesn't know what to do with her body, the bottom of her shoes are showing, she was all over the platform, I don't know if I can work with this girl, she just doesn't listen.....

Janice: I think she has spunk, she reminds me of me, you can just see the mischief in her eyes, she needs to learn control......

Snotty photographer guy: I'm sorry clients just don't like being bit. One poor fella hurt his back just trying to keep her from falling off the platform, clients will not be happy with this type of behavior.....

Aliens, the Fonz, and the endocrinologist

For those that have spent time with Izzy, you know of her love for the Fonzie thumbs. No it was not taught to her by Buck, she came to us channeling the Fonz. Well today she invented the cure, hand braces from toilet paper tubes. At first I thought her hands were stuck so I took them off, which produced ear piercing screams. After an hour she gave up the braces and we have not seen Fonzie thumbs since.

Now we all know that aliens can read your mind, right? Well Izzy is a firm believer in always having protection. So she wears metal on her head to prevent the mind reading. Our question was, how did she know to do this. Did she see Signs in China, she did live on a farm, did they have crop circles?



















Well now we know, she is an alien mind reader herself! Actually we think she does mind control as well. Notice the animal crackers on her high chair tray...I don't remember putting them there.















Monday we saw the peds endocrinologist. He ordered a bunch more test for her thyroid and to check her growth hormones. He felt she was very short and had no growth curve over the past year. He said she was short even on the Chinese charts which we knew. So we will see where it goes from there. He felt she was really healthy except for the delayed development, anemia, seizures, small left hemisphere of the brain, low thyroid, and almost no height gains in the past 8 months. Otherwise she is great.

Dizzy Bizzy B

Sometimes I wonder is she having issues with coordination and falling because of the seizure disorder or is she just dizzy. This girl loves to spin around and then enjoy falling or laying on the floor to watch the room spin. I see a party girl in the future. Don't worry we already have plans for bars on the windows.

Pictures at the park

Austin and Izzy shared some quality time at the park the other day. What a special brother sister moment. When they are not jealous of each other they do play well together despite the age difference. the video that goes with it is pretty funny, but alas, blogger won't let it upload as usual. I have to try all of the time to just get the few videos I have up.

Stuff

I know you all have missed pics of the kids so I added some here. I have been trying for days to upload a video of our whole adventure: Izzy the Musical but have been unsuccessful. It keeps saying unable to contact blogger. It is crazy.



This pic is of the kids and their first converse shoes. My cousin Cat thought they needed some so they could be like her. Of course Izzy's are pink, so now we have tennis shoes with all of her dresses.


I haven't posted much due to feeling kind of bad with shingles, trying to work, and keep my sanity. Okay so there is no hope for the last part. I lost my sanity on a back road ride in China, I have been numb ever since.

Anyways, I am looking for a job that will pay the bills and I can be somewhat happy with. I have given up on teaching again. So I will have to find something else. Right now i am enjoying the time with the bizzy B but need a little more adult contact. She is talking more. In fact her list of words include: mama, daddy, hi, bye bye, apple, owe, Nana, all gone, and Pixie. She tries to say ball and Austin.
