Still alive and I survived.....

Okay, we finally had our first full week of school after a very soggy start and stop due to Tropical Storm Faye. I am beat, exhausted, pooped, bushed, dog-tired, fatigued, worn out, done in, weary, and drained. Get the picture. Teaching Middle school is the hardest thing I have ever done. Makes a good ole mass casualty event seem like child's play.

Since I am feeling a little tired i will blitz the other blog with late pics of the kids. BTW, they (the lab people) were unable to get Isabella's blood in sufficient quantities. The large number of test was already broken down into 2 separate blood draws because you can only drain a 2 year old of so much, and now we are at 3 separate draws to get everything she needs, and a urine bag for collection, like that is going to stay on.

Off to typing lesson plans and tying tutus.

Results

Well we have the results. It is good news that the spine looks good. The brain MRI showed no changes from the last one. So why is she losing strength and coordination in her lower extremities??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Now we are on to a bunch of metabolic blood test to see if she has a progressive metabolic disorder.

No news yet on the MRI. The tech told me not to worry that things looked good. Izzy is still very drunk, stumbling around almost 24 hours post sedation. I will update when I know more.

MRI of Brain, Spine with and without contrast

Tom morrow is the day for the big test. Once again Izzy will be sedated for a test to determine if she has any tethering of her spinal cord from suspected occult spina bifida. The weakness in her legs may just be the CP but since we are not sure and enough medical experts have voiced concern.....here we go.

Of course this will mean she gets a nice long nap after drinking chlorahydrate and I get to stand next to the MRI machine for 1 1/2 hours wringing my hands. Buck will sit in the lobby watching TV.

If this is like last time she will fight taking the medicines, fight sleep, and the be out around the clock.

I hope the radiologist comes out to talk to us like he did last time.

IzzyB the uncooperative model

Miss B definitely has a mind of her own. She was eager to wear her new tutu but refused to wear the shirt that goes with it, instead she picked out what she wanted to wear. She wouldn't just stand there and give me a pretty pose, and decided to climb the crib to get away from the camera. These are the best shots.

How do I do this?

Well i have a tutu site set up, I just don't know where to go from here. I feel confident I can make the simple straight tutus, tutu dresses, and the poofy tutus. I have some tulle ordered for some projects i am working on.

Should I make a bunch and put pictures up and the first person to leave a comment saying they want it gets it? Do I take orders and do a waiting list? If you want a pink, white, lavender, brown, even black i can get the tulle quick it just cost more than ordering it. If you are patient this tulle comes in all sorts of fabulous colors. I have standardized waist sizes, but they are always too big for Izzy as I suspect most of our children who are recently home. This would lead me to think I should wait and take orders by waist size and length.

Rice noodles

I don't know if I made them right but Izzy loves noodles right now, so I made stir fry rice noddles. She dug right into them. The mess drives me crazy but she has to learn to feed herself.
